Dr. Dave Darby was born and raised in New Iberia. He attended North Lewis Elementary, New Iberia Junior and Freshman High, and graduated in the Honors Program at New Iberia Senior High in 1987. He received his undergraduate education in Biology/Chemistry at USL and in the Health Sciences at Park University of Kansas City. He received his DC degree (gpa 3.45) from
Cleveland Chiropractic College of Kansas City in 1994. He completed a postgraduate preceptorship with Dr. Jack Hill of Midlands Chiropractic Associates in 1994. He is a previous instructor of Anatomy and Physiology. Dr. Dave completes several post graduate courses every year in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and in the research validating chiropractic care through the instruction of noted researcher, Dr. Malik Slosberg. Additionally, he has received post graduate education in spinal rehabilitation through Dr. John Danchik, a respected member of the US Olympic Selection Committee. Dr. Dave has also completed post-grad training from Dr. John Triano of the world famous Texas Back Institute, in the treatment of complicated spine disorders. Dr. Dave utilizes many of the same techniques used at TBI. Dr. Dave has also completed post-grad training from Dr. Dan Murphy, the noted whiplash and neurology expert. He has experience as an expert witness in court cases and in AMA Permanent Impairment Rating Examinations and is sought after for his opinion in Disability Determinations. In his off time, Dr. Dave enjoys playing basketball, tennis, football, and billiards. He is a big LSU and Saints fan. He truly enjoys spending quality time with Dr. Cari, and their beautiful children.
Dr. Cari Darby was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Dave transplanted her to New Iberia and “Cajunized” her. She graduated from Daniel Gross High in 1987. She received her undergraduate education in Psychology at the University of Nebraska, at Lincoln and Omaha. She continued her Health Sciences education at Park University of Kansas City. She received her DC degree with High Honors (gpa 3.71) from Cleveland Chiropractic College of Kansas City in 1994. She is a past instructor of Pathology. Dr. Cari also completes numerous courses every year in postgraduate neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and research from Dr. Malik Slosberg, in addition to her post graduate work in pediatric chiropractic and natural birthing methods. She has also completed post graduate rehabilitation courses to aid in her clinical repertoire. Dr. Cari has also received post-grad training from Dr. John Triano, of the Texas Back Institute. Dr. Triano is acknowledged as one of the best chiropractors in the world, and Dr. Cari utilizes many of the same techniques as TBI. Dr. Cari has also completed post-grad training from Dr. Dan Murphy in the area of whiplash and neurology. In her off time, Dr. Cari enjoys reading, shopping, and spending quality time with Dr. Dave and their beautiful children. Additionally, Dr. Cari has a vast amount of knowledge in the area of Natural Childbirth and the preparations for Natural Childbirth through the Bradley Method. She utilizes this knowledge to help pregnant women prepare themselves to have a good labor by reducing their back pain and preparing them during their pregnancy. (No, we do not deliver babies here, we just help make the pregnancy better.)
